Two window cleaners working at a supermarket in Medway had to be rescued by firefighters after their cherrypicker work platform got stuck in the air.

The pair were working late at night at the Morrison’s store in Knight Road, Strood, cleaning the outside glass canopy when their elevated work platform suffered a hydraulic fault.

A crew from Strood were called out to help the pair get down from the machine’s basket at about 10.10pm last night after being stuck in the air for about 20 minutes.
