The wet weather took its toll on the Shepherd Neame Kent League cricket programme on Saturday and Lordswood's match at The Mote was no exception.

Lordswood managed to complete their innings, reaching 200-6 from their 50 overs in Division 1 after being put in by The Mote at Maidstone.

In reply, The Mote scored a cautious 31-1 off 13.2 overs before rain ended the match early.

Daniel Forster hit 114 for Premier Division Gore Court at Bickley Park.

Forster’s century was the mainstay of Court’s 214-6. Skipper Karl Pearson weighed in with 40.

Phil Edwards took two early wickets as Bickley stumbled to 67-3 in reply from 16 overs, only for the weather to deny Court a possible chance of victory.
