Firefighters called to car blaze in Coldharbour Lane, Aylesford

A discarded cigarette was to blame for a fire which destroyed a car.

A 999 call was received after a large plume of smoke was seen in Aylesford shortly after 8pm.

A crew from Larkfield found a car alight in Coldharbour Lane, and spent half an hour putting out the blaze.

They left the scene at 8.30pm.
