New date for Welling's Trophy tie

WELLING'S FA Trophy third round tie has been switched to this Saturday following a ruling by the Football Association.

The game had been due to take place on Sunday because Erith & Belvedere were meant to be hosting Hythe in the Kent League Premier Division on Saturday.

Worcester's secretary agreed to the game taking place on Sunday after Welling's second round replay with Tamworth concluded on Tuesday night, but the Worcester chairman appealed to the FA on Wednesday morning to switch the game.

Welling secretary Barrie Hobbins confirmed: "We've been told that we have to play it on the Saturday now."

It means that Erith's game at home to Hythe has been postponed. If the teams draw on Saturday, any replay would take place at Worcester on Monday, February 5, kick-off 7.45pm.
