Kinnear blasts ref

Hereford 2 Margate 1

MANAGER Chris Kinnear was highly critical of referee Mike Mullarkey as Margate were defeated after leading the Nationwide Conference promotion hopefuls.

Hereford's Tamika Mkandawire and Margate's Sam Sodje were both dismissed and the Exeter ref also cautioned four other visiting players.

Kinnear said: "Every time there was a tackle we seemed to have a man booked. It was embarrassing."

Margate went ahead in the 53rd minute when Terry McFlynn's free-kick was headed home by Graham Porter but within a minute Paul Parry had fired Hereford level.

The winner came 12 minutes from time when Parry's low cross was inadvertently turned home by the Gate's new defender Danny Murphy, who is on loan from QPR.
