London Bridge: Security alert blocks train lines

A major London station getting back to normal after a security alert.

Passengers from Kent were caught up in the drama, which blocked one of the main lines to and from the capital.

It meant at one stage there were no trains from Charing Cross, Waterloo East or Cannon Street.

But at around 4pm the all-clear was given after the alert was deemed "not suspicious".

It comes after witnesses described seeing a dark silver Range Rover parked with its hazard lights flashing on London Bridge Street.

Workers were told to “stay away from windows” while others were seen running from office blocks after police ordered a full evacuation of the main railway station and surrounding area.
