WIND and rain failed to dampen the spirits of tens of thousands of people who turned out to watch fireworks spectaculars across Kent at the weekend.
A guest at one of the displays, at the Great Lines at Gillingham, was actor Alex Ferns, who played bad boy Trevor Morgan in the TV soap EastEnders.
Alex will play King Rat in the Dick Whittington pantomime at Chatham's Central Theatre this Christmas.
