Adrian Lowther take the honours in Cliffe Woods 10k

Adrian Lowther, of Medway and Maidstone, ran away from a field of 300 runners to win the Cliffe Woods 10k on Sunday in 34min19sec.

Lowther (pictured) was 62 seconds clear of Chris Holmes (35.21) of Invicta East Kent. Ashley Howes (35.42) of Larkfield AC was third.

Local top 10 finishers included the first M40 master, Andrew Archer (38.14) of Istead and Ifield Harriers; Dave Hadaway (M40, 38.23) of Tunbridge Wells Harriers; David Gardiner (M40, 38.30) of Maidstone Harriers and Kris Berryman (39.15) of Gravesend Road Runners.

The top 20 included Joe Cumberland (39.27) of Istead and Ifield Harriers; Stephen Turpie (39.29) of Maidstone Harriers; Phil Wallace (M60, 40.07) of M&M; Kevin Ostrehan (M40, 40.15) of Larkfield AC; Mike Murdoch (M40, 40.19) of Maidstone Harriers; Mark Champion (M40, 40.30) of Istead and Ifield; Adrian Perkins (40.31) of Maidstone Harriers and Alun Rodgers (M40, 40.54) of M&M.

Sarah Anne Mooney (41.20) of Larkfield AC took the women’s prize from Penny Holden (42.18) of Maidstone Harriers. Natasha Dawson (42.47), Bridget Ostrehan (W35, 43.05) and Abi Johnson (W35, 43.15) of Larkfield AC finished next to clinch the team prize.

Sharon Barnett (W35, 44.16) and Meg Hughes (W35, 44.32) of Maidstone Harriers and Sarah Kenyon (W35, 44.39) of M&M also made the top 10.
