Warning to customers after cash machine 'shut down'

POLICE have warned people to check bank statements after someone broke the front of a Barclays Bank ATM.

The bank alerted police after someone removed a fake panel from the cash machine in Mortimer Street, Herne Bay, causing it to shut down, on January 17.

Anyone finding any unusual transactions on their statement should notify the fraud department at their own bank.
