Manager Tony Burman doesn’t want Dartford’s victory over promotion-chasing Farnborough to be a one-off.

Burman has urged the Darts to build an unbeaten run in Blue Square Bet South, starting with the trip to Bishop’s Stortford on Saturday.

Dartford crushed Farnborough 4-1 at Princes Park, despite playing more than an hour with 10 men, to bring smiles back to home supporters’ faces for the first time in seven league games.

Charlie Sheringham (pictured) scored a brace on his return to the starting line-up and Burman hopes the former Welling man’s return to form could make up for the absence of loan striker George Purcell when Darts travel to face another of Sheringham’s former clubs on Saturday.

Burman said: "York have called George back. I think they’ve had a couple of problems with injuries themselves. They have been good to us. I would have liked him to stay but hopefully something might be resurrected at some point.

"It was good to see Charlie get a couple of goals. We have known what he can do all along.

"It was just a case of bringing it out of him. With all due respect to him, it is a confidence and belief thing."
